27th July 2003 Windsurfing: Bala Wind Direction: WSW Wind Stength: Force 2 Surf / Sea State: flat Air Temperature: 20 Sea Temperature: warm Weather: Sunny Max Speed: Distance Covered: Only made my mind up late afternoon to go, so didn't get there until 5.30 pm. Felt quite windy when getting the kit off the car so went with 7.1m, but hopelessly underpowered and after one float to the boat club and back went for the 8.6m. Nobody else on the lake apart from a learner and lots of evening sunshine, perfect setting but no wind. The sail had so much curve in it, you would have sworn that it had camber inducers in it but apart from an odd gust nothing to really to power me up. Still, better than doing nothing. |
